Do You Help Look After Someone?

Carer’s Guernsey Can help.

Who is a carer?

A carer is anyone who cares unpaid for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, mental health problems or addiction cannot cope without their support

Our Services

Emotional and Practical Support
We provide a listening ear as well as practical support where you feel you need it. For example, we might come with you as a supporter in meetings, assist with completing application forms, or introduce you to support groups or services that could improve your quality of life.

Advice and Information
We will help you access advice and information when you need it and in a way that works for you.

Voice for Carers
Raising awareness, campaigning, advocating and representing carers needs and rights.

Peer Support
We will help connect you with others who are in a similar situation.

Our vision

Carers Guernsey wants a society that respects, values and supports carers: where we can all care for loved ones without putting our own lives on hold and where no-one has to care alone.

Our mission

To make life better for carers by:
providing emotional and practical support;
giving carers a voice in matters that affect them;
providing a central service for information and advice; and
helping to identify and develop various carers services.
